One might be in the pickle determining if organising a home is merely the fragment of media created trend, or is it something that really adds value to our lives.

In this article, I will share my opinion on how I see this topic, approaching the question from different angles.

So, we can’t argue on one thing. Due to recent and not too recent media coverage in every type of media, we see the rise of this profession.

But why is that?

Is it simply the creation of the mighty media empires, who are squeezing out every drop of profit from us, consumers, by coming up with new ideas on how to keep us focused on their product?

Is it that we are changing as a society altogether? By being creative, being always on the lookout for new ways for making our lives more comfortable?

Or are we getting more innovative by creating new solutions, services or products in our society to earn our livelihood in new ways?

Well, I believe that the answer is the combination of these factors and quite possibly a few more that I do not even list in my article.

Point one.
Let’s get back to the topic of the media.
Since we have entertainment, it is imperative that whoever is dependent on the success of this industry do all they can to keep their edge.
Wouldn’t all of us do the same? We all want to live a happy and comfortable life. Right?
To tell you the truth, in my family, we love these types of reality shows. It is not only entertainment for us, but we use them as new ways to learn tricks and technics. These reality shows, like Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix or Bea Organised on Amazon Prime, are gems with practical ideas that have the potential of aiding anyone with brilliant ideas. Most often than not, the solution to our pressing life challenges, like a cluttered or not too appealing home, might be more straightforward than one might think.
My conclusion? Yes, we see these types of media appearing here and there, and they create value for us in many ways.

Point two!
Isn’t what drives us very often making our lives easier, more comfortable and happier? We all aim to get more out of tomorrow than we could from today.
Just stop for a moment and think about how the continuous invention of new things and solutions are changing our lives for the better, day after day. This is the natural progression that leads us to end up in our beautiful houses and apartments, leaving our cosy caves behind.
We all want security, shelter over our heads to provide a nurturing environment for our descendants. This is how we keep our species alive, leaving our legacy behind.

Point three.
Again, it is essential that we provide for ourselves. Naturally, we need to change some of our habits or come up with new ones. The way we make our living is no exception from this. In many cases, we create the solution, even before the need arises, but often, we simply react to the need by solving the challenge and dreaming up new ways to live.
And again, by being an observer in our lives, some of us takes the courage and go above and beyond. They are the ones, who are restless, driven by the challenge. They are not ready to settle with the way of yesterday or not even today, for the matter of fact. They are the ones who bring us solutions by using the creative function of our being.
Of course, through their actions, they secure a piece of the pie, but frankly, that is not the drive for them. In most cases, it is simply doing what they are best at doing, observation, thinking, and problem-solving.
I, personally, thank these of us. As long as they provide me with a value that will add to my life, I am happy with what they dream up.
Not to mention that I am one of these professional organisers, having first-hand experience in the matter of providing my services to my clients.

Oh, and one more thing to add to this point before I say my goodbye for today. Yes, I was doing organising years before it became my business, even without having a business built on it. How?
I was never satisfied with less than optimal, functional or perfect surroundings. Obviously, there are always factors to consider, like budget or circumstances, but I was always driven to keep changing the things that I had an influence over until I stepped back and, with a broad smile, said YES!
I wouldn’t have thought back in those years that it will be one of the pillars of my life one day. Simply, there was no professional organising as a service back in those days.
But girl, I love that my life turned out this marvellous way!

I hope that through my words, I can inspire some of you by stopping you for a second and making you think, or even by entertaining you for a few minutes with this article.
