There’s a quote by Oprah I once happened upon years ago which has stayed with me. She was quoted as saying: “Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.”

 

Oprah’s words of wisdom have resonated with me for a long time. And after years of excelling as an Executive Assistant, I decided to pursue something I have been passionate about for a long time, organisation. I love connecting with customers and finding what they need. Assessing their rooms and spaces and providing in-depth suggestions, and ultimately putting together a solution that accommodates their unique needs as well as their wallets. The last several years, I have been overjoyed reconnecting with clients I have worked with. Finding out that my organisational expertise has made a significant difference in their lives.

 

It seems funny to think about it, but something as ‘mundane’ as an organised and well-designed pantry has made many of my clients very happy. In fact, one client recently told me it actually increased her quality of life. Making accessing foods in the morning for her kids easier and set a positive tone for the day.
It makes me happy thinking about how my passion can make a difference in other people’s lives. That’s why I continue to relentlessly build my knowledge by constantly learning, engaging with like-minded experts. Always trying to find ways of giving undeniable value to any organisational project that comes across my desk.
